Membership in the Society not only supports the mission of the organization, it provides benefits open only to members. Our members receive discounts on conference registration, are eligible to vote for the Board of Directors and as our new website is developed will afford access to features such as posting job openings, sharing your resume with fellow members and first notification of activities of the association.
There are four options related to membership.
Regular ISDS Members
This is all persons with the exception of full-time students and persons from Developing Countries (as defined by the World Bank). For Regular ISDS Members, membership costs $50 per year and is fully offset by the discount afforded to members who attend our annual conference.
Persons registering as students will be required to send proof of full-time enrollment in an accredited university. Annual membership fees are discounted to $30, and student members are eligible to submit abstracts for awards that include free and discounted conference attendance. To request a student membership discount, please send proof of enrollment (transcript, current schedule, tuition receipt or dated student ID) to Mark Krumm. You will receive instructions on registering by reply email.
ISDS is deeply committed to sharing knowledge with persons working in low-income countries and encourages persons eligible to join at no cost. Please refer to the low-income country list to see if you qualify. Then, simply email Mark Krumm with your request along with an image of your national ID card, driver's license or any other document that indicates residency. You will receive instructions on registering by reply email.
Non-members are welcome to participate in our Communities of Practice and have access to most of the features of the website. Registration is required, however, to view and participate in all of the forums and groups. Guest registration is free, and we welcome you to create your profile and see what ISDS has to offer.
