Workgroups are smaller groups, not generally open for community-wide input and discussion. Workgroups are specifically task oriented with a start date and an end date. They have set deliverables and a timeline for achieving those goals. They include a point-person who is responsible for following up about the deliverables. More information on Workgroups will be coming soon as our new website is fully populated.

For syndromic surveillance, the inclusion of data from urgent care centers can result in improvements in population representativeness, statistical power, breadth of syndromes, and preparation for healthcare reform. It is the goal of this workgroup to provide evidence of the benefits of including urgent care data in syndromic surveillance to healthcare partners. This goal will be achieved by putting together an abstract for publication in early 2018.
